People have been asking me about this.

So here it is.

You gotta post to gain stars.

Special groups eg admins and moderators have different stars.

Any other questions regarding NOGDUS and the forums should be asked here.

Why do I sometimes have 5 purple stars but in other posts I have like 15?

Because in some boards you're a Mod.  Thus more stars.

That was a bug that I somehow caused last time I edited the theme code. Tongue
I just edited the configuration; now there is only a single star of varying color for high-level ranks such as admin and moderator.

The post-count based ranks still work the same.

I'm thinking of changing the 'stars' images to fantasy-rpg-ish gemstones..what do you think?

I think that would be pretty cool. Now why do I have a purple star in some boards and a green in others?

Purple is global moderator.
Green is moderator of the current board.

I don't feel like going through the amount of work that it takes to do such a change.
Its just cosmetic, and I have better things to apply my time to right now. Cheesy
